A severe storm on Sunday night has left many Optimum customers in Abilene without internet. As of Monday afternoon, the outages were still widespread across the city.

The number of affected customers is significant, with around 3,500 people experiencing internet outages. There were more than 120 outages reported across Abilene as of 3:00 p.m. Monday.
